With over 45 years of experience in training and leader development, Dave Teeples brings a broad base of leadership expertise to all individual and organizational forums. His service for over three decades in the United States Army provided unique command and staff positions, including Commandant of the U.S. Army Armor School, Assistant Division Commander in Korea, Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and commander of the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment in combat, the largest combined-arms organization commanded by a colonel in the U.S. Army.
Receiving a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse in 1975, Teeples holds master's degrees in education administration, and national security strategy.
In addition to his 30 years of active duty, Teeples taught high school mathematics, and coached high school football, basketball, and baseball. From 2011 to 2014 he worked as the Director of Strategic Operations for JANUS Research Group, Inc., consulting on production of virtual training environments. In 2015, as a consultant at Florida Hospital in Orlando, he helped construct a leader development program for all 24,000 employees. He established Tampa Leadership Institute in 2016 and provides executive coaching and serves as a consultant on leader development programs. Teeples also facilitates leadership workshops, both in person and virtually. He is passionate about the importance of leadership and values in organizational development.
Teeples has been married for 49 years to his wife, Sue. They have three grown children and four very active grandchildren. He loves speaking on issues of leadership, teaching Sunday school, reading history and any form of athletic activity.
